ASYL!Koncert presents a new generation of writers with a refugee background tonesat in contemporary Danish music, played by a classical trio and interpreted in interactive media design. The concert is based on poems by resident writers from Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq and Bosnia and act on the special duality refugees experience: Between the new and the old country, the joys and hardships, between confidence and fear.
With the help of new interactive technologies has been created a digital pictorial narrative for the concert, which are projected onto large canvases.
The concert, which lasts approx. 60 minutes has been developed in collaboration with the Danish Refugee Council and is composed for guitar, percussion, song and soundtrack.
ASYL!Koncert has had the first performance at ARoS in Aarhus and Litteraturhaus in Copenhagen in June 2009. There currently planned performances in the rest of the country during late 2009 and throughout the 2010th and 2011 through "LMS" (Levende Musik i Skolen)
ASYL!Koncert præsenterer en ny generation af forfattere med flygtningebaggrund tonesat i ny dansk kompositionsmusik, spillet af en klassisk trio og fortolket i interaktivt mediedesign. Koncerten tager udgangspunkt i digte af herboende forfattere fra Iran, Afghanistan, Irak og Bosnien og handler om den særlige dobbelthed flygtninge oplever: Mellem det nye og det gamle land, mellem glæder og afsavn, mellem tryghed og frygt.
Til koncerten er skabt et særligt visuel performance koncept der består af fem unikke modelhuse. Hvert hus repræsenterer et værk i koncerten og filmes håndholdt under koncerten - live-feed'et blander sig med pre-optaget video og grafik. Dette projiceres stort op, og ledsager de tre musikers præstation og live-VJ'ingen.
ASYL!Koncert er vist på AROS, Århus, Literaturhaus og Kirken på Blågårdsplads, Kbh samt Domkirken i Ålborg.
I efteråret 2010 og 2011 tournerede koncerten igennem LMS (Levende Musik i Skolen) og har givet over 1000 danske børn en anderledes fortælling om det at være flygtning.
